Description and behaviour
Form and usage:
This affix means 'go (somewhere) in order to Vb'. Thus, it is synonymous with one of the two meanings of the affix V{(gi)jaqtuq}V, to which it also may be related according to the Comparative Eskimo Dictionary. However, unlike that affix, V{gijaq}V has no special sandhi rules, so its behaviour is completely regular.
Meanings and examples
