Description and behaviour
Form and usage:
This combination is a negative imperative strengthener used to express 'don't (thou) Vb!'. It is seemingly only used with the special intransitive negative imperative 2sg ending V{nak}, and hence only for monovalent, or agentive divalent stems.
It appears to be a combination of V{llaq}V, 'vivid action' and V{-riaq}V, 'come on, Vb!' used for exclamations. The final component is unclear, but Ordbogeeraq [JP67] gives two alternative spellings for this affix, -tdlariaunak and -tdlariarunak, thus suggesting that the final segment might be some morpheme consisting of /gu/ or /ru/, but where the /r/ optionally was dropped. In the newer dictionary Oqaatsit [CBBJRPIKJR97], only the first form, i.e. without /r/, corresponding to -llariaanak, is given.
