Form and usage:

This is the absolutive possessive 1sg/sg ending denoting 'my N'. The Comparative Eskimo Dictionary [MFSJLK10] reconstructs this ending in PE as {ka}, where /k/ then weakened to /g/ in the Inuit family.


Left sandhi:

The ending deletes a stem-final consonant except /q/. On q-stems, it instead joins additively on to it, such that /qg/ merge to /r/.
