Description and behaviour
Form and usage:
This is the intransitive optative 3sg/3sg ending, denoting 'let him Vb it!'.
The mood marker here is {li}, and the Subject marker is the null-morpheme {Ø}.
The Object marker is the variant 3sg marker {guk}, which is used after /i/, and where /g/ ⇒ /j/ when following a vowel, cf. the imperative 2sg/3sg ending V{-guk}.
Thus:
- {li}{Ø}{guk} ⇒ {lijuk} ⇒ +liuk
since /j/ is not written in this context.
