Form and usage:

According to [MFSJLK10], the meaning of this morpheme is 'thing resembling', likely mainly used on nominal stems. The authors hypothesise it could be from an unattested morpheme {gar} or {rar}, based on the forms observed in some of the daughter languages. However, these forms could also just represent generalisations from k-bases, resp. q-bases, with the affix attaching to the stem-final consonant and weakening it to its corresponding fricative.

The authors of [MFSJLK10] record this morpheme as nominal, but it also seems to appear in some verbal combinations, cf. e.g. +{ðugar}+.
