Form and usage:

This is the intransitive participle morpheme (inflected as a noun). In the Inuit branch of daughter languages, it is also used as the intransitive participial mood marker (with verbal inflection).

According to [MFSJLK10], the alternation (after /V/ resp. /C/) between the /ður/ and /tur/ forms was already present in PE, with /ð/ becoming /g/, /z/, /j/ or /c/ in the daughter languages, in accordance with the typical alternation pattern for /ð/. They also not a possible relation to +{qður}V and +{ðurar}V, but without elaborating further.
