According to the Comparative Eskimo Dictionary [MFSJLK10], the meaning of this affix is/was 'become (more)', seemingly with verbal stems (i.e. 'become more Vb'ing'). The morpheme is given a separate entry, but the authors speculate that it actually might be the same as +{li}V.
