Form and usage:

The meaning of this affix is 'habitually' or 'repeatedly', thus denoting either habitual or repeated action. The authors of [MFSJLK10] speculate that it may have altered with tar-, taqə- already in Proto-Eskimoic, i.e. following the usual rule for /ð/ also present in modern Kalaallisut.

There is no explanation for the two different forms, i.e. whether the first is derived from the latter by a drop of /ə/, or whether the latter is derived from the former through the addition of some morpheme {*qə}. The authors also propose, that this affix in Proto-Inuit was used with suppletion from a different morpheme, +{gaa}V.
