Form and usage:

This is a non-productive affix found in some lexicalised words. According to the Comparative Eskimo Dictionary [15] , it derives from a morpheme {ləɣ-}, which these authors translate as indicating a 'back and forth' movement, although it is unclear what they base this on. Kleinschmidt [9] and Schultz-Lorentzen [10] translate it as 'without interruptions' or 'without spaces', i.e. such that the action becomes continuous. Thus, we shall here tentatively translate the affix as 'uninterruptedly'.

We record the affix here as valency-preserving. However, it seems to only be used with monovalent stems.
