Description Entry
This affix can both be valency preserving, and valency reducing. How do we handle that? We only have a single field, and not a list for diathesis and valency_change. V{sima}V
How does this affix behave on t-stems? V{-(c)i}V
Is this affix actually truncative? In kipisavoq and qiisavoq it clearly is, but the derived affix -saar- appears to be additive in most cases. V{sa}V
Not in OE, how does this stem decline? N{ccaaq}N
Can we find examples of this affix in other cases than absolutive singular? How does it decline? V{lqammiq}N
When does the resultative passive meaning arise? V{ŋqa}V
What happens to the meaning when the affix is used on state stems, like qasuvoq, qasoqqavoq? He is tired, he has become tired? V{ŋqa}V
Is this affix preserving or reducing? Fortescue (affix list, category 17) says reducing, but Nielsen has a preserving example, matuaa, matoqqavaa, but also reducing examples. V{ŋqa}V
Do we have examples of the 'spend the N' meaning mentioned in Fortescue/CED? N{-li}V
What are the components of this? N{-liqcaaq}V
Is this formed through combination of N{-liq}V with V{'-q}V? This could be the source of the /ll/, but can we find any evidence of this? The CED says nothing. N{lliq}V
Does this stem have assibilation? Can we find any examples to verify or reject this hypothesis? N{lliq}V
What are the components of this? V{-liq}V and what is then /caaq/? V{-liqcaaq}V
What is the source of this affix? And is the last vowel /i/ or /ə/? N{-iqluiq}V
Find some examples with -reernikuu- and -reersima-. V{-riiq}V
Does this have aq_drop like its nominal variant? Do we have any examples to prove/disprove it? V{(q)cuaq}V
Search for ssarâ, ssaraoĸ, rssarâ, rssaraoĸ. There are more examples on OE, and some are lexicalised words. V{(q)carə}V
How does this decline? Examples outside of ABS.sg? N{kkaaq}N
What is this affix? Is it a combination? Is the final vowel i or ə, and does it cause assibilation? V{-kkisiq}V
This affix is not in the CED, the etymology is unknown. V{-kisaq}V
How does this decline? Is it indeed up-declined? N{-kapsak}N
This affix is not found in any old-orthography dictionaries, nor in the CED. The etymology is unknown. V{kkajaaq}N
I assume the old-orthography form would be '-kajâĸ, but since I have not found any old-orthography dictionary containing it, I do not know. It would be good to see some evidence of it. V{kkajaaq}N
We have no evidence of the inflection pattern. I assume it is p-declined, but it would be good to see some actual examples. V{kkajaaq}N
how is it inflected? Any examples outside of absolutive singular? N{-kanniq}N
How does this decline? Is it indeed up-declined? N{-kasik}N
Add reference to V{-kulooq}V, when we add that. N{-kuluuq}N
What is the HTR-form of this affix? Neither KL nor SL nor OE mention it. V{vkaq}V
The CED form is {ŋtaɣ-}. What is the source of the /ka/ in Kalaallisut? V{-katak}V
Reference V{-kuluuq}V if/when we add that. V{-kutcuuq}V
Is this affix formed with V{'-q}V, which has caused gemination, and that is the explanation for angutanngerpoq with /ə/ -> [a]? N{ŋŋiq}V
According to MF affix list or CED, there is also another N-V ŋa-, 'position oneself to the N of'. N{-ŋa}V
Does this stem have aq-drop, like the nominal variant? V{ŋŋuaq}V
Find examples of the meaning with negative contemporative: 'without even Vb'ing' V{ŋŋuaq}V
What are the components of this affix? V{caaq}V, 'at intervals' doesn't make sense, and {ŋŋiq-} is 'want/crave'. V{ŋŋiqcaaq}V
Is this related to -ngajassaavoq, 'is just about to' in DAKA? Add relation when added. V{ŋŋiqcaaq}V
According to Nielsen, there are also variants -nngissaa(r)-, he gives the single example: uppinngissaarpoq/uppinngissaavoq, det var lige ved at vælte. V{ŋŋiqcaaq}V
Is this a composite affix? And if so, what are the components? V{ŋŋujuuq}V
What is the second morpheme {ci} in this affix? Is it related to e.g. ukorsii? Are we even sure it is nominal? V{ŋŋuaqci}N
Can we find examples of this affix denoting 'reason for Vb'ing' or 'time when Vb'ing' also, like V{-(cc)utə}N? V{'-tə}N
Nielsen kalder den refleksiv (samme some tqu), men jeg synes ikke helt, det passer med nogle af betydningerne, fx aatippoq. Han siger også, at agentive stammer opfører sig som subjektive. Det passer bedre med de andre dobbelttransitive stammer. V{tət}V
What is the behaviour of this affix in t(ə)-stems? There are no examples in SL or Ordbogeeraq V{t(s)aili}V
Nielsen siger reflexive-resultative, men giver det bedre mening end passive-resultative? V{tətəq}V
The verbal variant can cause aq-drop. What about this affix? N{-(g)innaq}N
There are many variants, N{nnit}V, N{ni}V, N{nni}V, V{nnit}V... and so on. All of them non-productive. Should they be added? N{nit}V
What are the constituents of this affix? N{nniqsaaq}V
Is this {na} + {vik} + {aʀ}? V{naviaq}V
Which HTR-morpheme does it use? nnək or ði? V{niaqcarə}V
Missing examples. V{niassaqə}V
Not in CED. Is the vowel /i/ or /ə/? OE does not say that it assibilates /t/. V{nni}V
This affix is recorded as valency-preserving, but the others are decreasing (except -sa). Should this also be decreasing. V{-(u)ma}V
Check isimmippaa, 'isimmippaa, støder til ham med foden (især med tæerne). U.s. isimmippoq, s. støder sin fod (/ egentlig sine tæer) på noget (-mut).' according to KL. This suggests that it is reflexive, rather than agentive. N{(q)mik}V
Nielsen claims the form is -mmig-, but (r)mig- after tə. Does this fit better? N{(q)mik}V
What is this affix, and is it related to V{llammak}N? V{(m)maaq}N
Ordbogeeraq also has a t-t affix -mâĸ, but no explanation of its meaning. Related? V{(m)maaq}N
If this affix is from -(cc)ut(ə), what is the form after [aa] then? Does it inject (cc) or /j/? Currently, the form is given as just -uccuq, but should it be -(cc)uccuq? V{-uccuq}V
What is the etymology of this affix? The explanation in Ordbogêraĸ does not make sense. N{-ucijaq}N
Following Ordbogêraĸ, it must be -ucijaq with a geminating /j/, but do we have any evidence of it geminating? N{-ucijaq}N
The example in SL does not at all fit with the present meaning. Is this a different morpheme/combination? V{galuktuinnaq}V
What is the first morpheme? V{galuktuaq}V
This is not in CED, is it a composite? If so, of what? *{lusuuq}
Missing examples. V{ssagaluaq}V
add reference to {-maaq} when it is added. And check if we can inherit right sandhi. V{kcamaaq}V
Is this affix additive or truncative? Or maybe t-truncative? The examples in OE indicate additive on k-stems at least. V{saaq}V
add {-maaq} as a constituent and check it is the right utə. N{kcamautə}N
We record the combination here as N{kcaq}N + N{-li}V, but this is only a guess. N{kci}V
is this t-deleting like tət and sima? One examples seems to suggest so, but is it a mistake or can we find more? Nielsen seems to think it can just be generally truncative. V{saaq}V
What are the origins of this affix? N{kcaq}N, N{-it}V and what? Is it kcaq + -isuq + something instead? N{kcaisua}V
Does this affix have gemination? According to SL it might? But not according to OE. N{kcijaq}N
Is this combination correct, or is there a different affix corresponding to n-v '-rĸigpoĸ'? It is not in SL. N{kcaqqik}V
missing usage examples V{lqammiqsima}V
What are the other morphemes? V{lqaaq}V, ???, V{niaq}N, 'one who strives to', N{-u}V, 'be', and then -ut(ə)? This accounts for the extra /u/, but not the missing /a/ and 'in'. V{lqainniuut(ə)}V
missing usage examples V{lqammiŋŋit}V
Nielsen claims an entirely different meaning for qqajaaler-: har længe været ved at Vb'e, which makes no sense w.r.t. the other examples. V{lqajaa}V
What is the source of /caq/? It must be a truncative morpheme {-caq}. N{-licaq}V
Is it /s/ or /c/ on tə-stems in the 'resemble' sense? N{-licaq}V
MF says that this may show replacivity, but -lək does not do that. So is this not -lək, or id he wrong? N{-ləkcuu}V
Are we sure this is llaq (vivid action) and not llak (suddenly)? V{llautə}N
What is the origin of the second meaning 'for a while'? It makes no sense that this should be the same morpheme. V{-ləqtuq}V
What is the second component of this affix? V{llammak}N
What is the etymology of this affix? something + ut(ə)? N{-liqŋucaut(ə)}V
What is the origin of /siq/? And if it indeed is a true /i/, does it then also have right-sandhi assibilation? N{-iqsiq}V
Missing inflection pattern - it is not described in OE. N{(q)vasik}N
examples? V{-riiginnaq}V
examples? V{-riallaq}V
What is the origin of this affix? What is the first morpheme? V{-ruttuq}V
In the -ruttulersut usage, can the subject be coreferent to the subject of the main clause, or must they be different? V{-ruttuq}V
examples? V{-riaraluaq}V
Usage examples missing in SL, and not mentioned elsewhere. N{nkuutəgiik}V
What is the initial /a/ from? Is it N{-aq}N? N{-atciaq}N

Mentioned by MF, but there are no usage examples. N{-ŋaatciaq}N
Can we find examples of it being used on a divalent stem, i.e. a double-transitive construction? V{t(s)ailiuq}V
What is the middle segment /qqisa/ of this morpheme? V{nəqqisaut(ə)}V
Nielsen mentions a variant form, +niqqusaatə, with apparently the same meaning. V{nəqqisaut(ə)}V
Missing examples V{niaqə}V
Missing examples. V{niassa}V
the DAKA examples seem to indicate it can passivize the stem. But I am sure I have seen transitive examples too. Find some. V{nəkuu}V
Example of -ssutigaa following VV? V{-(cc)utəgə}V
Nielsen also has -gissar- with single a, but with the same meaning as this affix. No other dictionary mentions this. N{-giksaaq}V
Missing usage examples. V{ðarijaqairut(ə)}V
Can we find an example with transitive endings, showing that it indeed is valency preserving as claimed? V{ðuqcuu}V
Missing usage examples V{-ðakcau}V
This affix can either be valency-decreasing or valency-preserving, but we only have a single field for this, rather than a list. V{ðarijaqaq}V
Should this be valency increasing or preserving? The agent is impersonal. V{ssaŋatəŋŋiruttuq}V
missing usage examples V{lqammiqnəru}V
