Description and behaviour
Form and usage:
This is a non-productive affix listed in Schultz-Lorentzen [11] and Ordbogeeraq [12]. The former translates it as 'rather, a bit' whereas the latter equates its meaning with V{-laaq}V, i.e. 'a little'.
Meanings and examples
- ajuperaarpoq, it is a little bad; it is bad-ish
[11]
From ajorpoq, 'it is bad'.
- naalliuperaarpugut, we had to struggle a bit; we were suffering a bit
[11]
The first translation is by Schultz-Lorentzen [11], but in Oqaatsit [14], the word is lexicalised with the second meaning.
