Form and usage:

This is a non-productive affix listed in Schultz-Lorentzen [16] and Ordbogeeraq [17]. The former translates it as 'rather, a bit' whereas the latter equates its meaning with V{-laaq}V, i.e. 'a little'.


Meanings and examples

    From ajorpoq, 'it is bad'.

  • naalliuperaarpugut, we had to struggle a bit; we were suffering a bit [16]

    The first translation is by Schultz-Lorentzen [16], but in Oqaatsit [19], the word is lexicalised with the second meaning.
