Form and usage:
This affix denotes 'Subject
Vb greatly' or some similar strengthener.
It is apparently not mentioned independently in older dictionaries, such as Kleinschmidt (1871) or Schultz-Lorentzen (1958), but it appears in lexicalised combinations with other affixes.
Meanings and examples
- angivaarpoq, it is very big

From angivoq, 'it is big'.
- pisaqavaarpoq, he had a very good catch

From pisaqarpoq, 'he has caught something', so literally 'he greatly caught (something)', implying that he caught a lot.
- orluaarpoq, he fell really hard
