Description and behaviour
Form and usage:
This affix is a combination of V{llaq}V, here denoting emphasis, and V{'-rik}V, 'Subject
is proficient at Vb'ing'.
Thus, the meaning of the present affix, is straightforward: 'Subject
is (particularly) proficient at Vb'ing'.
The latter affix normally causes gemination of a single consonant in the preceding stem, but in the case of V{llaq}V, there is no single consonant to geminate, so the form is therefore just plain /llarik/. However, note also that the alternative combination V{llaqqik}V, which apparently is synonymous with the present affix, and where gemination seems to have been displaced onto the /r/.
Right sandhi:
Right sandhi is inherited from the right-most component, V{'-rik}V. See this for details.
