Declension pattern:

Stem type: Strong k-stem
Declension type: up-declined
Declension sandhi: Weakening

Stem before consonant Stem before vowel Notable forms
New orthography akik aking akik, akingup, akingit,
Phonemic orthography akək akəŋ akik, akəŋup, akəŋit,

Notes on declension:

According to Kleinschmidt [13], Ordbogeeraq [17] and Schultz-Lorentzen's grammar [8], this stem declines with weakening (nasalation) of /k/. Presumably it is therefore up-declined, although these sources do not mention it.
