Description and behaviour

Form and usage:

This stem denotes a 'strap' or 'cord' of leather.

Inflection sandhi:

According to several sources [14, 18, 8], this stem displays gemination of an unwritten consonant, here indicated as (j), which doubles to /jj/ and is devoiced to [cc]. However, according to Ordbogeeraq [18], it may alternatively also inflect like an ordinary p-declined weak-q stem without gemination, i.e. e.g. allunaat instead of allunassat. Here, we only record the declension with gemination, since the alternative inflection is regular.
