Description and behaviour

Form and usage:

The meaning of this stem is 'mother', or 'mom'. According to Kleinschmidt [SK71], it is childish speech, but many nevertheless use it of their mother, even as adults (the formal expression for 'mother' is {aqnaq}N with a possessive ending, e.g. arnaa, 'his mother').

Inflection

Inflection pattern:

Stem type: Vowel stem
Inflection sandhi: Default/none, p-declined
Sources: [JP67]

Notes on inflection:

The stem inflects as an ordinary vowel stem (or weak q-stem) with p-declension. As this is entirely regular, we do not record a full inflection paradigm here.
