Description and behaviour
Form and usage:
The meaning of this stem is 'servant', in any sense of the word. It can be used of both males and females, and it may be used of a wide range of serving functions. A house maid may be referred to as kiffaq, but also e.g. umiarsuup kiffai, 'sailors' or 'deckhands' or similar, literally 'servants of the ship'.
Inflection
Inflection pattern:
| Stem type: | q-stem |
| Inflection sandhi: | Weak stem, Default/none, p-declined |
| Sources: | [JP67] |
Notes on inflection:
The stem inflects as an ordinary weak q-stem with p-declension. As this is entirely regular, we do not record a full inflection paradigm here.
