Description and behaviour
Form and usage:
This stem has two meanings:
- (secondary) 'storekeeper',
- 'village manager' (manager of a small village with a small store).
The stem is derived from {niuvəqðuq}N, 'merchant'. In a small village, the storekeeper would also be the manager of the village in older times in Greenland.
Inflection sandhi:
Inflection sandhi is inherited from the right-most component, N{-rusiq}N. See this for details.
Meanings and examples
