Description and behaviour
Form and usage:
The meaning of this stem is 'immediately' or 'right away'
It is an adverbial expression with no inherent valency.
It is only used in the contemporative mood, and the ending will be either intransitive or transitive depending on the type of the ending on the verb it modifies.
The person marker will be the same as (or coreferent to) the Subject marker of the modified verb, if it is intransitive; and to the Object marker if transitive.
Thus, we can define the meaning as:
- '
ActorVb'ing immediately', if the verb it modifies is intransitive. - 'Vb'ing
Patientimmediately', if the verb it modifies is transitive.
See further in the examples below.
