Description and behaviour

Form and usage:

This is the ergative unmarked singular ending used on up-declined stems (regular/strong stems). For the ending used on p-declined stems (weak stems) see N{p}, and for the variant form used on ip-declined nouns see N{-ip}.


Left sandhi:

On strong stems, the ending may cause metathesis, or it may weaken the stem-final consonant rather than removing it.
