Description and behaviour

Form and usage:

The meaning of this particle is 'still' (as in e.g. 'it is still not finished'). In the Comparative Eskimo Dictionary [MFSJLK10], the authors speculate that it may be from a combination of {su}V and the optative 3sg ending V{li}, which would yield the literal meaning 'let it do what!'. However, it is unclear how that should yield the actual meaning, and as this is only stated as an hypothesis, we do not record it as a combination here.
