Description and behaviour
Form and usage:
This stem appears to be a combination of the pro-base {su}V and the intransitive participle V{ðuq}N, here behaving as an uq-participle, even though this base normally forms its intransitive participle in the regular way. The meaning is simply 'why', and despite its origin as a noun stem, it behaves as a particle; i.e. it is not inflected.
