Description and behaviour

Form and usage:

According to [MFSJLK10], the meaning of this morpheme is/was 'go (in order to)'. The authors write: "cf. +{tur}V and +{giaq}V and perhaps also +{jar}V; the g-initial form in Inu. may be influenced by +{ki}V." This comment does not explain whether the present affix is derived from a combination of these other morphemes, or whether it is the other way around. However, it seems most natural to assume that the present morpheme is a combination of +{jar}V + +{tur}V, and with +{ki}V added in the Inuit forms, as in +{giaq}V.
