Description and behaviour
Form and usage:
According to [MFSJLK10], this morpheme denotes 'remove' or 'be deprived of', likely mostly with nominal bases, although it also appears to be used on verbal stems in some of the daughter languages. They propose it may originally be from {*ŋŋir}, from the combination +{ŋit}V + +{r}V, i.e. literally 'is become lacking'. This seems plausible, so we record this combination.
