Morphemic form: V{-viŋŋit}V (Combinations)
New orthography: -vinngilaq
Proto-eskimoic root:
Constituents: V{-vik}V + V{ŋŋit}V
Morpheme type: Verbal modifier
Left sandhi: Sandhi-truncative
Right sandhi: None

Description

Form and usage:

Combination of V{-vik}V and V{ŋŋit}V. The second constituent of this morpheme is the negation affix V{ŋŋit}V, so the combination therefore inherits the same idiosyncratic sandhi behaviour as this affix, so see it for a description. Note that although the affix is valency preserving, and hence can appear with transitive endings, there is not HTR-stem, since any HTR-morpheme would be added_before_ this affix.

Verb stem

Right sandhi: Irregular changes to mood marker (see description)
Valency: Valency-preserving
Diathesis: Unaltered (same as the stem)
