Description and behaviour
Form and usage:
The general (and productive) meaning of this affix is 'Actor craves N', or 'longs for', 'thirsts for' etc., with food or other consumable N.
According to Schultz-Lorentzen (1958), it also has an entirely different meaning: 'Actor suffers from N'.
However, the affix does not appear to be productive in that sense.
