Description and behaviour


Form and usage:

This is a non-productive affix found in some lexicalised words. The meaning is 'Actor has reached N'.


Left sandhi:

Besides being /VC/ deleting (which is well-documented), Nielsen [11] also claims that the affix optionally may attach even onto possessive endings in some special cases, as if it were a derivational enclitic. However, none of the other dictionaries give examples of this, so this is presumably not regular behaviour for this affix, so we do not record it.


Right sandhi:

According to Ordbogeeraq [17], in combination with the intransitive participle V{ðuq}N, and the intransitive participial mood, /tð/ will yield 'ts'. For example,
