Description and behaviour

Form and usage:

The meaning of this affix is 'Subject Vb incessantly', or 'all the time', or similar. It is a non-productive affix found in older dictionaries; for the productive variant see V{juainnaq}V.

Kleinschmidt [13] and Schultz-Lorentzen [16] record this morpheme as derived from V{juaq}V, similar to the aforementioned productive variant. However, according to the Comparative Eskimo Dictionary [21], it actually derives from a historical morpheme {tu-}, but this morpheme has no direct descendant in Kalaallisut. Therefore we record the first component as unknown here. The second component is V{-(g)innaq}V, 'just'.
