Kleinschmidt [13] notes that the implied meaning sometimes may be 'too early'.
Left sandhi:
The affix is truncative and completely regular. However, note that /j/ is not written in the new orthography when following [i], hence the initial /j/ will not be written in such contexts, which is the explanation for the form -aarpoq.
