Description and behaviour
Form and usage:
This affix is an irregularly formed combination of V{naq}V, 'it is such as to Vb' and V{ðarə}V, 'habitual/recurrent action'. The latter affix has suppletion from two other historical morphemes, {ɣai-} and {aʀ-}, and the present combination is apparently formed by combining V{naq}V and {-arə}, which is one of the suppletive forms of V{ðarə}V. None of the dictionaries describe the inflection-sandhi behaviour of this combination, but it is mentioned in Kleinschmidt's dictionary [13] in relation to another combination involving V{ðarə}V, namely ??. Thus, the present affix may presumably behave similar to ??, so see this for details regarding right-sandhi and inflection. Note also the variant V{nallaarə}V with a similar meaning, and similarly formed, but also containing the morpheme V{llaq}V.
Left sandhi:
Left sandhi is inherited from the left-most component, V{naq}V. See this for details.
Right sandhi:
Right sandhi is inherited from the right-most component, V{ðarə}V. See this for details.
Inflection sandhi:
Inflection sandhi is inherited from the right-most component, V{ðarə}V. See this for details.
