The meaning of this affix is 'Subject Vb for the first time'. It appears to be a productive (or, at least, marginally productive) variant of V{qnaq}V. However, 'for the first time' may more commonly be expressed with the stem pernar-, built from that variant form, and used in the contemporative mood as a modifier to the main verb.
