Description and behaviour
Form and usage:
According to Kleinschmidt [13], the present affix is a combination of V{sa}V, 'be in a state of', and V{-laaq}V, 'a little'. If that indeed is the case, then it is an irregular combination, with no explanation of why the initial /la/ has disappeared. I find it more likely that the second morpheme is V{-aq}V, here in the sense of 'a little'. This fits with the meaning, and the combination is then regular.

This is a very tentative translation. Often, the meaning seems to just be a variation of the meaning of the unmodified verbal stem.
