Description and behaviour
Form and usage:
The meaning of this affix is 'bad/miserable N'. Kleinschmidt [9] notes:
"[By this affix], one portrays the object as being of a lesser kind, but always with a certain degree of humour (hereby it is differentiated from {{ mref(kl/affix/nn/-kasik) }}). If used of one's own possessions, the humour often comes to the fore. If used of another's possession, the disregard/contempt is often stronger; but neither element ever fully disappears".The meaning of the affix may be further strengthened with {{ mref(kl/affix/nn/(q)cuaq) }}, cf. {{ mref(kl/affix/nn/-palaaqcuaq) }}. Note also the verbal variant {{ mref(kl/affix/vv/-palaaq) }} with a related meaning.
