Form and usage:

According to Nielsen [FAJN19], the meaning of this affix is 'Subject has begun to Vb a little', and it is used with some transitional stems. The first component of this affix seems to be V{-aq}V in the sense of 'a little'. According to Ordbogeeraq [JP67], the second component is V{caaq}V, although this makes no sense w.r.t. the meaning. Thus, this may be spurious.

    From taarsivoq, 'it has become darkness', so literally: 'it has become a little dark'.
