Description and behaviour
Form and usage:
This stem is a straightforward combination of {na(g)u}V + V{(t)siiaq}N, so the literal meaning is 'something one waits for to grow forth'. According to Kleinschmidt [SK71], it can be used of any cultured plants or crops. However, later dictionaries [CWSL58], [CBBJRPIKJR97] only record it specifically in the sense of 'potato'.
Right sandhi:
Right sandhi is inherited from the right-most component, V{(t)siiaq}N. See this for details.
