Description and behaviour
Form and usage:
The general meaning of this stem is 'land', but with a possessive ending, or one of the affixes N{-qaq}V, V{-gə}N denoting ownership, it can also denote 'abode, dwelling', i.e. 'the land that the owner inhabits'.
Inflection
Declension pattern:
| Stem type: | Vowel stem |
| Declension type: | p-declined |
| Declension sandhi: | Default/none |
Notes on declension:
The stem declines like an ordinary vowel stem with p-declension. As this is entirely regular, we do not show the declension pattern.
Meanings and examples
This is the general meaning. Note that it can both denote the physical land (the ground), but also a country.
Instead of a possessive ending, one of the affixes N{-qaq}V, V{-gə}N may also be used.
