Description and behaviour
Form and usage:
The meaning of this stem is 'cleft; ditch; crevice; ravine'. It is formed from a combination of {qupə}V, 'split', and V{nəq}N where the latter has elided the final /ə/ from the former. The regular combination, qupineq, is presumably also possible.
Inflection sandhi:
This stem inflects as a strong q-stem with up-declension and weakening of /q/ ⇒ /r/ before vowel-initial endings.
