Description and behaviour

Form and usage:

The meaning of ths stem is 'five'. According to the Comparative Eskimo Dictionary [MFSJLK10], the base is {taliq}N, 'arm', presumably referring to the five fingers. The second component is N{-li}V, which has caused /VC/ drop with compensatory gemination of /l/, thus yielding /talli/. It is not clear what the final component is.
