Description and behaviour
Form and usage:
This stem has several meanings according to Kleinschmidt [SK71]:
- '
AgentusesPatient'. In this meaning, the diathesis is patientive, so the meaning changes to 'Patientis used/in use' when used intransitively without HTR. When used about a person, this also has a special meaning: 'Agenthas intercourse withPatient', and when used intransitively without HTR: 'Patientis sexually (ab)used'. - '
AgentenduresPatient', i.e. some kind of hardship. Presumably, the diathesis here is patientive too, so the meaning in this case would also become passive if the stem is used intransitively without HTR. However, this is not explicitly explained in [SK71]. - '
AgentborrowsPatient'. In this meaning, the diathesis is agentive, so the meaning changes to 'Agentborrows (something)' when used with intransitive endings without HTR.
