Description

Form and usage:

This morpheme is a variant of V{(t)siisə}V with the same meaning, but here the verbal possessive V{-gə}V is used instead of an actual possessive ending to resolve the mapping of roles to grammatical functions. The affix adds a new Agent while the Patient is mapped to the Actor of the underlying stem. If the stem is divalent, then presumably an HTR-form will be preferred before this affix is added to it, to avoid making the construction too complicated. The Agent of the underlying stem will then be in the Instrumental case if it is explicitly specified in the sentence.

Left sandhi:

The left-most morpheme is V{(t)sii}V, which has a speciality that the initial /s/ does not assimilate a preceding /t/. See the entry for this morpheme for further details.
