Description and behaviour
Form and usage:
The meaning of this stem is 'Actor is big'.
Note that this stem forms its intransitive participle with V{suuq}N, instead of the usual V{ðuq}N.
It is not quite clear why this is the case, but the combination {aŋə}V + V{ðuq}N, i.e. angisoq is instead lexicalised with a rather different meaning: 'a large mammal', either a large marine mammal or a caribou bull.
Right sandhi:
The final /ə/ can optionally be elided by ə-eliding affixes, especially V{nəq}N and V{təgə}V, which can yield forms such as anneq and atsigaaq beside the regular forms angineq, angitigaaq.
Inflection sandhi:
Despite being a ə-stem, this stem actually does not inflect with ə-contracted endings.
