Description and behaviour
Form and usage:
This affix is a variant of V{galuaq}N, but with the same, almost untranslatable, counterfactual meaning as V{galuaq}V; something like 'one that should have been N (but was not)'. This usage is described by Kleinschmidt [9] and Schultz-Lorentzen [10] . Note the following:
- This affix can only be used when following the passive participle V{-ðaq}N or the nominal future affix N{kcaq}N.
- The affix is only used with possessive endings.
Inflection sandhi:
As noted above, this affix is only used with possessive endings. Otherwise, it declines like ??, i.e. regularly as a weak q-stem with consonant-initial endings, but with drop of /aq/ before vowel-initial endings.

Notes on declension:
The stem is technically up-declined and with aq-drop before vowel-initial endings, but otherwise behaving like a weak q-stem before consonant-initial endings, just like the variant V{galuaq}N. However, since the affix is only used with possessive endings, we do not see unmarked absolutive, ergative and plural forms.
Meanings and examples
This could also be expressed as 'counter-factually N'.

From toqqortaq, 'something stored', which is a lexicalised passive participle form of toqqorpaa, 'he stores it'. Note that this formation of the passive participle is irregular by the modern rules (by which we should expect *toqqugaq instead); hence the lexicalisation.
