Description and behaviour
Form and usage:
This is a non-productive, or only marginally productive, affix. It is found in a number of lexicalised combinations, but it is seemingly not used productively in day-to-day word formation.
Meanings and examples
On stems indicating a state it can apparently also indicate an extended period.
