Description and behaviour
Form and usage:
This stem appears to be a combination of {əlit}V and the passive participle V{-ðaq}N, which thus yields
with the true /i/ causing assibilation of /t/ to /s/.
The meaning of this combination is thus 'something learnt' (and hence: 'known'), and this stem is then verbalised again with N{-gə}V, thus giving the literal meaning 'Agent has Patient as something learnt'.
Kleinschmidt [SK71] translates it as: 'Agent finds Patient to be known', which he elaborates into three different versions:
- He recognises him/it (someone/something he has previously seen).
- He acknowledges it; he recognises it as his (after not having seen it for a while).
- He knows it (in an epistemological sense); he sees it and knows what it is.
We subsume these three versions under a single meaning: 'Agent knows/recognises Patient'.

HTR:
{əlisarə}V + V{ði}V ⇒ /əlisaqci/
This version of the HTR-stem is the only one recorded in Kleinschmidt [SK71] and Schultz-Lorentzen [SK71], whereas in Oqaatsit [CBBJRPIKJR97], it is given as one of two alternatives. Thus, this appears to be the older HTR-form. It is irregularly formed, seemingly with elision of /ə/.

{əlisarə}V + V{nnək}V ⇒ /əlisarənnək/
This is the regular HTR-form for ə-stems. It only appears in Oqaatsit [CBBJRPIKJR97] as one of two variants, but not in older dictionaries. Thus, this appears to be a newer, regularised HTR-form, formed similar to the HTR-stem of the last constituent N{-gə}V and other ə-stems.
