Description and behaviour

Form and usage:

This affix is a combination of N{-kit}V, 'have small/few' and V{-naaq}V, 'Agent finds Patient more Vb'ing than expected'. The former seems here to be used only in an avalent sense, 'there are few', and the latter affix then adds an Agent role to this avalent meaning. The affix can therefore be translated as 'Agent finds that there are less/fewer N than expected'. Note that translation does not actually mention the Patient role, but note that the affix is nevertheless still used with transitive endings. Thus, the Object marking does not actually refer to anything, and the affix is therefore presumably only used with 3sg endings for the Object.
