Description and behaviour

Form and usage:

This combination is apparently only mentioned in Schultz-Lorentzen [16]. It is a straightforward combination of V{yuminaq}V, 'it is easily Vb'able' and V{saq}V, 'Agent tries to get Patient to Vb'. He translates it as: 'Agent makes Patient easily Vb'able' or 'Agent makes Patient worth Vb'ing'.

Left sandhi:

Left sandhi is inherited from the left-most component, V{yuminaq}V. See this for details.

Meanings and examples

Or 'Agent makes Patient worth Vb'ing'.

  • takujuminarsarpaa, he makes it worth watching [16]
  • atoruminarsarpaa, he makes it easy to use; he makes it easily usable [16]
  • pigiuminarsarpaa, he makes it desirable [16]

From pigaa, 'he has/owns it', thus literally: 'he makes it worth/easily own-able'.
