Description and behaviour
Form and usage:
This affix is a combination of V{-rataq}V, 'suddenly/surprisingly', and V{sinnaaŋŋuq}V, 'can now' or 'is now able to'.
It seems that the affix is valency-decreasing by removing the Agent, if the stem is divalent, and the meaning is
- '
Actor=Patientis now finally Vb'able' or 'is now finally ready to be Vb'ed'.
See also V{-rataqsinnau}V, which is used synonymously with the present affix according to Schultz-Lorentzen [11].
Meanings and examples
