Description and behaviour

Form and usage:

According to Nielsen [8], the meaning of this combined affix is 'several Actors have gotten new N'. He does not specify the constituents, but it appears clearly to be from N{taaq}V. I hypothesise that the second component is V{tuq}V, although the meaning here is 'several' rather than 'repeatedly'. Given the meaning, the affix is only used with plural person markers.

Meanings and examples

Only with plural endings.

  • atisartaartorput, many have gotten new clothes [8]

From atisat (plural), 'clothes', from the singular form atisaq.
